Day 7:

  • God rested
    • God didn’t have to rest. He’s God – He doesn’t get tired or need a break. He chose to rest to show us that we need to make sure and rest. When we get worn out/exhausted, we need to take time to rest and let our bodies and minds recover. We have to take care of ourselves first.

Genesis 1:26-27

(26) “God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts and over all the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. (27) So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

God created us in His image to watch over the earth He had just created. How amazing is that?! Anytime we begin to feel unworthy, like we don’t matter, like nobody would miss us if we were gone, we have to remember that we were created on purpose, for a purpose.

Everything  God created from the beginning of time has a purpose – including you. He created you exactly how He wanted you to be. He doesn’t make mistakes – He’s perfect. If you are on this earth, God has a plan for you, He wants to use you.

Don’t ever let the devil tell you anything different. He likes to fill our minds with doubts and lies – those things don’t come from God. Next time you start to feel weak, unworthy, unloved, or unwanted – remember that God created you for a purpose. He loves you and thinks you are perfect. He wants to do amazing things in your life. Find your worth and value in Him, nobody else.

Genesis 1:28

“And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.”

Our job, as described by God, is to be fruitful and multiply. He wants to bless us with more than we could ever imagine. We just need to put Him first in our lives. He will be able to give us the answers to our prayers and so much more!
