With social media being our new “go to”, it’s hard not to compare ourselves to others… daily. Sometimes that helps us push ourselves to become better people, sometimes we use that as a tool to tear ourselves down. Comparison is a dangerous trap laid out for us by the devil, and he is so quick and an expert at using it to our disadvantage.
When we start to question who we are, why we aren’t like other people, or why our lives aren’t as glamorous as someone else’s, we have to remember that we have the life God wanted us to have.
He didn’t accidentally give us our families, friends, situations, etc. Everything was for a reason. We have to trust God to lead us down the life path we are supposed to go. It may be very different from everyone else; but if that’s where God calls us, then we have to listen to Him.
Don’t compare your life to everyone else. God created you for a reason, for you to live your life. You are made exactly how He wanted you to be. You are NOT a mistake.
Maybe you think your life isn’t where you think it’s supposed to be. All of your friends are more successful or married or are living a great life… and you’re still struggling to find yourself, you don’t have your own family, you haven’t quite figured out your purpose.
THAT IS OKAY!
None of us have the same life plan. God has you in the exact place you are supposed to be in. If we can learn to trust that and believe that when the time is perfect we will get all the blessings we know we are supposed to, we can learn to live happy.
Be happy with the season you’re in, trust it is for a reason, know better things are coming when you are perfectly ready.
If God gave you everything you knew He has promised you too early, it wouldn’t work out like it should. He’s never late, but never early either. Know that He can see the big picture, our entire future… if He knows all of that, He knows the perfect timing for EVERYTHING. It’s all about having faith and living your life with joy, happiness, and being grateful for what you have.
Stop focusing on what you don’t have.
Stop comparing yourself to others.
YOU are living YOUR life.. nobody else’s.
Be happy for other people and know that your time IS COMING. At the exact time that will work out the best for you.
If you live a life for God, your blessings will be flowing at you, not just a couple here and there — but flowing. You won’t be able to keep up.
Follow Him, trust Him, listen to Him, and watch your blessings flow.
